Renew or replace a general identification card
You can renew your general identification card online as early as 90 days before the expiry date and up to two years after its expiry date.
To renew or replace in-person:
- Complete and print this form (copies also available at driver and vehicle offices).
- Visit a driver and vehicle office with the completed form and photo identification. Your card will arrive by mail within 4 to 6 weeks.
