Deh Cho Bridge Tolls

All commercial vehicles crossing the Deh Cho Bridge are subject to a toll when:

  • The vehicle weighs over 4,500 kilograms and is travelling northbound
  • The vehicle has more than two axles (i.e.: commercial truck and trailer over 4,500kg)
Failure to obtain a permit will result in a $1,725 penalty, in addition to the cost of the proper permit. Personal vehicles are not required to pay a toll.

Single Use Tolls (northbound only)

  • 2 to 4 axles or a pick-up truck or bus with trailer: $103
  • 5 or 6 axles, excluding pick-up truck or bus: $186
  • 7 or 8 axles, excluding pick-up truck or bus: $327
  • 9 or more axles, excluding pick-up truck or bus: $424


Monthly Remittance Tolls

Carriers are responsible for sending monthly reports of all trips made over the toll bridge.

  • 2 to 4 axles or a pick-up truck or bus with trailer: $83
  • 5 or 6 axles, excluding pick-up truck or bus: $168
  • 7 or 8 axles, excluding pick-up truck or bus: $308
  • 9 or more axles, excluding pick-up truck or bus: $405

Apply for the remittance program

  1. Complete the remittance application.
  2. Send the completed form to tolling@gov.nt.ca.   
  3. Once an application is approved, carriers must report all northbound trips. In addition, they must register and install an approved transponder in every vehicle crossing the bridge (Transponder must match vehicle VIN). Transponders must be obtained from International Road Dynamics (IRD) by calling toll-free at 1 (866) 903-0333 or by email at transponder.admin@irdinc.com.
